What's new
Features, improvements, and fixes from the Lucky Squares team. New entries added as we ship.
Organisers can now track which team member sold each square. Enable it in the Campaign step of the setup wizard and choose between free text (buyers type the seller's name) or a named list (buyers pick from a dropdown of your team members). A top-5 leaderboard appears on the live grid, and the full breakdown is in your Campaign Report.
The wizard now shows a gentle tip when you set a square price above $20, and a stronger caution at $50 or above. The most successful Lucky Squares campaigns price squares between $5 and $10: higher prices slow sales significantly. The tip sits inline under the price field and does not block you from continuing.
Know a school, club, or charity that would benefit from Lucky Squares? Submit a referral at luckysquares.com.au/refer and you'll earn an entry into our monthly $100 Visa gift card prize draw. Past winners are listed on the same page. There's no limit on entries: every referral you submit earns one.
Subscribe to the Lucky Squares newsletter for fundraising tips, community success stories, and platform updates. Sign up from the footer on any page or from the blog sidebar.
Buyers who secure a square on a bank transfer campaign now receive an immediate confirmation email with the organiser's payment details. No more chasing people up to remind them to pay. Organisers also get a sale notification for every bank transfer and in-person square sold.
Made a typo or want to add more detail? You can now update your campaign description at any time after launching. Log in, open your live campaign, and look for the "About this fundraiser" section, where the Edit button is right there.
A Share button now lives on the live grid and on the post-purchase screen. Tap it to copy your campaign link or pop up a large QR code. Great for sharing at events where you want people to jump on their own phone and buy.
If a buyer's confirmation email bounces, it's now flagged on your campaign manage page so you know who may not have received theirs and can follow up directly.
The official draw result certificate sent to winners now uses the Lucky Squares logo instead of a placeholder. The certificate is also linked directly from the winner notification email so recipients can access it instantly.
A configuration issue was preventing the automatic campaign expiry from running. Campaigns that have not sold enough squares to reach break-even are now correctly cancelled at 30 days, with Stripe buyers automatically refunded.
Clubs, schools and charities that run campaigns regularly can now apply for the Organisation plan. $149/year covers up to 10 concurrent campaigns, a team management dashboard, and priority support. Pay securely by card when you apply. Existing individual accounts can upgrade from their dashboard.
Organisation plan members get a dedicated dashboard showing total raised across all campaigns, squares sold, active campaigns, draws completed, and a live count of concurrent campaigns against the 10-campaign limit. Team members are managed from the same screen.
After each completed draw, organisers are invited to share their experience. Every approved testimonial earns one entry into our monthly Testimonial Prize Draw. One winner is drawn on the first business day of each month and receives a $100 Visa debit gift card.
When you share your campaign link on WhatsApp, Facebook, iMessage or Slack, the recipient now sees your campaign photo, title and description (not just a generic Lucky Squares link).
Running a sausage sizzle or game day stall? Open Club Mode from your campaign page for a full-screen grid optimised for face-to-face selling. Hand your phone or tablet to each buyer, they pick their square, you confirm payment. Hit "Next buyer" and you're ready to go again.
Generate a print-ready A4 poster for your campaign from the campaign management page. Includes your campaign photo, prizes, price per square, and a QR code buyers can scan to go straight to your grid.
When your first square sells you get a celebration email with sharing tips. After that, all activity is bundled into a daily digest sent each evening, so you get a clean summary of the day's sales without a notification for every single square.
Blog cover images can now include a photographer credit and copyright year. The credit appears as a small overlay on the image.
Need to run the same fundraiser again? Use the duplicate button on any completed campaign to copy its settings, prizes, and details into a new draft ready to edit and launch.
A configuration issue was preventing the daily sales digest, welcome sequence, and other automated emails from firing. All scheduled emails are now working correctly.
Organisation team invites were not being delivered due to a missing authentication header. Fixed: invites now arrive reliably.
The platform is live. Set up a grid in minutes, share a link with your community, and watch the squares fill up. Online card payments, bank transfer, or in-person: your choice. A flat $19 fee when you launch, nothing more.
Buyers can now pay securely by card directly from the grid. A 1.7% + 30c processing fee is added to the buyer total, so your fundraising proceeds stay intact. Square revenue lands in your Lucky Squares payment account as each square sells, and Lucky Squares triggers your bank payout after the draw completes.
When you're ready to draw, hit the button and the winning square is highlighted live on the grid for everyone watching. Winners are highlighted instantly. For multiple prizes, multiple squares are drawn in sequence.
Buyers receive a confirmation email when they purchase squares, and are notified of the draw result. Organisers receive a daily sales digest while their campaign is live.
Not running a fundraiser but want to support one? The Feeling Lucky page randomly selects a live campaign for you to back. Every square you buy goes directly to a real Australian school, club or charity.
